Again, you can change cards or choose to pay with another provider.

This takes us to our following point:

What If My Payment Method Is Handled By A Spotify Partner Company (e.g. Your Phone Or Internet Provider)?

If your payment method is handled by a Spotify partner company (e.g. your phone or Internet provider), you won’t be able to change your payment method.

So there is no reason to check your account page or worry about that unless you want to change plans.

And usually, a new plan like a family plan won’t be covered by your provider.

Just make sure to check Spotify premium costs before you commit to a monthly payment.

Pro Tip: Before committing to a monthly billing date, try to analyze if Spotify Premium Subscription is worth it for you.

Reasons Why You Can’t Update or Change Your Spotify Payment

These are the most common reasons why you can’t update your payment details On Spotify:

  • Another company covers it.

Spotify will try to charge it again on the next billing date if a monthly payment fails.

So you won’t lose Premium status just by one mistake.
