In the beginning, there weren’t many cryptocurrency exchanges out there.

Now, users can pick the site or platform that better suits their investing, trading, or purchasing needs.

We all know how efficient and popular the Coinbase exchange is, but it is safe to say that there is plenty of fish in the ocean.

If you have a registered account on Coinbase, you can move your tokens to other platforms, such as Kucoin.

Luckily, doing so is elementary, and today we are going to guide you through the whole process.

Kucoin Exchange vs. Coinbase Exchange

Both Coinbase and Kucoin are useful exchanges where you can transfer crypto, manage your accounts, buy Bitcoin (for example), and more.

Coinbase is widely known due to its low fees and wide access to different coins.

If you have a certain amount of a coin or a token, and you need to move it outside the platform, you can do it easily.

The crypto world on the Internet is quite aware of the advantages and disadvantages of both exchanges, but overall, this article should not be taken as investment advice - always perform your own research.

Pro Tip: Do you need to track a cryptocurrency transaction on the blockchain? Use the Transaction Hash in Coinbase!

Withdraw Funds, Manage Crypto, and Transfer Funds in Kucoin

The Kucoin Crypto Exchange offers similar features to the ones available in Coinbase.

Your Kucoin wallet address can be used to send tokens and coins outside the exchange.

What’s more, you can make a money withdrawal in no time.

Withdrawal fees are relatively cheap, and although pending withdrawals might take a little longer than in Coinbase, the security measures on the exchange are top-notch.

How to Transfer from Coinbase to Kucoin

The process of making a crypto deposit from your Coinbase account to your Kucoin account consists of finding the wallet address related to the assets you want to send.

Although deposits between the accounts can be performed using a wide variety of crypto, we are going to show you how to do it with your Bitcoin address (for practical purposes only.)

Step 1: Open Your Kucoin Account

For starters, sign in to Kucoin if you don’t have an account yet.

Remember that Kucoin is a centralized exchange, so they might ask users to complete a KYC process before being able to deposit funds or receive a coin.

Learn more about this matter on Kucoin Support Page.

Step 2: Go to “Assets”

Log in to your Kucoin account, and on the left side of the screen, click on the option that says “Assets.” On Assets, all the crypto that you can buy, deposit, or receive, will appear.

Step 3: Select the Cryptocurrency and the Network Your Want to Receive

Now, select “Deposit.” The “Deposit” option will generate an address where you can deposit crypto to.

Remember that, for practical reasons, we are going to do this with Bitcoin.

In the search bar, look for Bitcoin. After you have selected Bitcoin, proceed with the following step.

Step 4: Copy Your Deposit Address

It is imperative that you choose the right network and coin before you transfer funds.

Failing to use the correct wallet deposit address might end up in your funds being lost forever.

Double-check the wallet, and copy it to your clipboard.

Step 5: Go to Your Coinbase Account

Now, go to Coinbase. Open your account as you usually do it.

Pro Tip: Users that can’t open their Coinbase profile might be facing limitations.

If this happens to you, any withdrawal, trading operation, or processed deposits won’t take place on the platform. Learn more about Coinbase Accounts Restricted here.

Step 6: Select Your Portfolio Page and Click on “Send”

Go to your Coinbase Portfolio and click on the option that says “Send.” Here, look for Bitcoin, and a new screen will open.

We cannot stress this enough - do not transfer your funds to a different network or wallet.

There’s no turning back if you lose your funds!

Step 7: Paste the Kucoin Address and Complete the Transaction

Finally, while you are on Coinbase’s Send Screen, paste your Kucoin wallet.

The fees associated with the operation will appear on the screen.

Once you are done checking all the details, click “Send,” and your funds will transfer from Coinbase to Kucoin.

The transaction should take from 10 to 15 minutes to complete.

That’s how you do it! For more Kucoin and Coinbase insights, check out the content we have for you here, at GrowFollowing.
