The biggest crypto exchange out there, Binance, has its own native token: BNB.

Clearly, the easiest way to purchase or obtain BNB is through Binance.

But what if you want to move your assets to a safer, more secure wallet, such as Trust Wallet? Is it possible?

It is! Fortunately, Trust Wallet works natively with BNB chains, which makes it really easy to store and receive BNB on your new wallet without major problems.

That’s why in today’s blog post on our site, we will be talking about the following topics:

  • How to send BNB from Binance to Trust Wallet;
  • BNB on the Binance Chain vs. BNB on the BSC;
  • What to know before transferring BNB from Binance to Trust Wallet.

Binance Chain and Binance Smart Chain Address on Trust Wallet

The BNB token powers the transactions that take place on the BNB Chain.

Nonetheless, Binance has two different networks in which this token can be used: Binance Chain and Binance Smart Chain.

Although essentially, we are talking about the same token, the networks are entirely different, which might slightly vary the process of sending BNB.

Worry not - this confusion is about to end. In February 2022, Binance announced the merging of both ecosystems.

But, as of 2022’s Q1, you still need to pick the network on the confirmation page before you fill up the order.

Fortunately, Trust Wallet makes this really, really easy.

Pro Tip: Do you need to Convert ETH to BNB? The transaction fee related to this process is often very expensive.

1. Receive Binance Coin in Binance Chain (BNB)

If you want to receive the classic BNB on the Binance Chain, then follow the steps we are about to show you.

Step 1: Access Your Trust Wallet

Firstly, open the Trust Wallet app as you usually do. Then, proceed with the next step.

Step 2: Select BNB Wallet

Right on the “Assets” screen, you need to select BNB. This will open your BNB wallet, where you can send or receive tokens.

Step 3: Tap on “Receive BNB” and Copy the BNB Address

Now, you must tap on “Receive.” This will generate a BNB address uniquely related to your Trust Wallet private keys.

This is the address that you need to paste in Binance, so copy it to your clipboard and proceed.

Step 4: Log in to Your Binance Account

Log in to Binance, and go to your assets. Clearly, you must have BNB already on your wallet address.

Step 5: Tap on “Withdraw BNB” and Complete the Transaction

Tap on “BNB,” and then select “Withdraw.” In order to successfully transfer BNB, you need to paste the BNB address you got from Trust Wallet.

Also, in the network, select BEP2 - this is imperative, so don’t mess up! Fill in the rest of the information, verify that everything is in order, check each fee, and you are good to go!

2. Sending BNB on the Binance Smart Chain (BSC)

On the other hand, if you must send BNB directly on the Binance Smart Chain, you need to use your Trust Wallet Binance Smart Chain Address to do so.

Pro Tip: iOS users will probably have some problems when trying to use decentralized applications on Trust Wallet.

If the “ Deep Link Not Supported on Trust Wallet” message appears, you can solve it by reading our related article.

Step 1: Find Your Binance Smart Chain Wallet on Trust Wallet

Then again, tap on Trust Wallet, but now instead of choosing BNB, you need to tap on “Smart Chain (BNB).”

This will generate your Binance Smart Chain address. Tap on “Receive,” and keep the address copied until you get to Binance.

Step 2: Go to “Withdraw BNB” on Your Binance Account

Go to your Binance profile, then “Assets,” and select BNB on the BSC.

Step 3: Select BEP20 Network, Paste the Address, and Transfer BNB

Here, you need to paste the Binance Smart Chain address you got from Trust Wallet.

It’s fundamental that you select the BEP20 Network.

Remember that choosing the wrong network might cause your assets to be lost forever, so don’t sleep on it.

Finally, double-check the details, and complete the transfer.

You should receive BNB in Trust Wallet within 30 minutes or 1 hour top.

If you need more information about this matter, go to Trust Wallet’s official website.
